Donald C. Reynolds

REYNOLDS, Donald C., 96, of Springfield, passed away December 4, 2016 in Eaglewood Village. He was born July 28, 1920 in Scotland, SD the son of Harry and Frances (Murtha) Reynolds. Don worked as a researcher for Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 27 years and later as a consultant for 14 years in the same lab, working with Wright State University. He was a member of Sigma Phi Sigma fraternity, Sigma Xi and the American Physical Society. Don was a lifelong member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo (Chappelear); five children and spouses, Richard & Sally Reynolds, Christopher Reynolds, Mary Beth & Scott Buresh, Joseph Reynolds and Mike & Lisa Reynolds; 7 grandchildren, Kayla, Brooke, Allison, Carley, Nicole, Gerald, Lieve, Mara and Bria. The family would also like to acknowledge Bernard Kulp and family. He was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Gregory, a sister, Loraine Sternhagen and longtime friend and brother-in-law, Bernard Kulp, Sr. A special thank you to all the doctors and staff at Eaglewood Village for the loving care he received over the years. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Friday in St. Raphael Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Friday in the church with Fr. William Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Raphael Catholic Church.
