Dianna Crist

Crist, Dianna Marnice (Zappe), 51, of Ennis, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 30 in her home surrounded by family after a long battle with lung cancer. Dianna was born on December 25, 1961 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Richard A. Zappe and Ada L. Neu (Zappe). Dianna graduated from Shawnee High School in 1980 and attended Eastern Kentucky University. She traveled the world as a military wife and mother, living in such places as Panama and Saudi Arabia. Dianna's passion in life was her loving and caring children with whom she was able to share her final days. Dianna was preceded in death by her father, Richard; stepfather, Clyde E. Neu; and brothers, Steve and Ritchie. She is survived by her mother, Ada L. Neu; sisters, Carole (Scott) Wilson and Julie Wade; brother, Andrew (Cheryl) Zappe; sons, Jason (Krihstin), Christopher Zink and Zachery McElreath; one daughter, Michelle (Shawn) Raynor; grandson, Derrick Zink; nephews, Shawn Cook, Brok Wilson, and Nicholas and Lucas Zappe; nieces, Sarah Saunders, Amanda and Stephanie Wade; and a very special friend and companion, Wayne McNutt. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive 2 hours prior, beginning at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the cancer foundation.
