Diane S. Harris

Harris, Diane Sharleen, 69, of Springfield, passed away on January 15, 2016 at Hearth and Home at El Camino. Diane was born on December 31, 1946 in Springfield, OH to Franklin E. and Lenora Belle (McDowell) Harris. She taught Jr. High School in Hamilton and Springfield, OH after graduating from Miami (OH) University. She later worked as a Programmer for Kissell Co. and others in the mortgage field in Dayton, Columbus and Fairborn. Diane enjoyed doll making, quilting, cross stitching and ocean cruising with her family. She is survived by her significant friend, Bob Dudek; nieces, Lynnette (Michael) Carlino of Dayton, Lynanne (Brian) Zerkel of Springfield, Debbie (Gary) Myers of Springfield, Donna Cultice of Bolivia, NC and Debbie (Burkhardt) Doyle of Myrtle Beach, SC; one nephew, John David Thacker of Anchorage, AK; and brothers-in-law, Edgar Thacker and Fred Ehrle. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Eileen Ehrle, Sharon Burkhardt and Linda Thacker; three nephews, Rusty Baker, Doug Doyle and Tony Cultice; and brother-in-law, Bill Burkhardt. The family would like to thank the past and present staff at Hearth & Home at El Camino for their generous care over the last eight years. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the Conroy Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Meyer officiating.
