Dewey R. Vulgamore

VULGAMORE, Dewey R., 70, of Springfield, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 in Springfield Regional Medical Center and is free at last after 37 years of battling a series of illnesses. He was born August 16, 1945 in Springfield the son of Eber and Greta "Francis" (Boggs) Vulgamore. Dewey retired from Navistar after a number of years as a manager. He belonged to the Anthony Lodge 455, 277 Scottish Rites and served in the Lions Club for 23 years as secretary, den rental and special events coordinator. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his wife of 50 years, Michealeen (Mitchell); two daughters, Melissa Vulgamore, Springfield and Julie & Bruno Tabacchi, North Lewisburg; one granddaughter, Alexa Rahrig. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and a sister, Elizabeth Vulgamore. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Dwight McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations can be made in Dewey's name to the Northridge Lions Club or the Animal Welfare League.
