KNISLEY, Delores Jean Norman, 70, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Springfield Regional Medical Center surrounded by all her loving family. Delores was born on March 6, 1947 to the late Benjamin and Vivien Norman. A lifetime resident of Springfield, she was happily married to Danny Knisley, and it was evident of their love for each other. She is also survived by her sons Jeff Greany and Tom Yoder, sisters Alice Tobias (Roger) and Ruth (Paul) Greany, grandchildren Betsy Yoder, Tommy Yoder, Tabi (Justin) Markel, Dee, Brandon, and Paul Yoder, great grandchildren Kaylynn, Emma, Sarah, and Michael, daughter-law Mary Finley, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ben (Saundra), Tom, Rick (Diane) Norman, and a grandson Israel Yoder. Delores (our "Big D") was very giving of herself, helping others anyway she could. She was the family's "entertainer" at our many gatherings; she was fun-loving, a little ornery at times, but mostly had a sweet disposition. She enjoyed quarter auctions, bingo, cards, her I-Pad phone, country music (especially Conway "BABY" Twitty), and all the time she spent with her great grandchildren. Delores was a member in VFW Auxiliary at Post 1031 for over 30 years. She had been employed by Sunnyland Nursing Home for over 10 years. Delores will be remembered by all as she knew no strangers. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 12:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Gail Eastwood officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior in the funeral home, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be held in Rose Hill Burial Park.
