Banion, Deidra Michelle, 49, of Springfield, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 surrounded by family. Deidra was born June 29, 1975 in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Dwain Banion and Nancy (Elam) Miller. She graduated from Southeastern High School and the University of Dayton with a degree in Sociology. Deidra loved spending time at home with her family and beloved dogs. She also enjoyed spending time outside hiking and tending to her garden. She will be remembered as a sweet, caring, quiet person. She is survived by her mother, Nancy and stepfather, Curt Miller; life partner, Xan Pennington; two siblings, Layla Johnson and Jordan (Angi) Miller; stepmother, Myra Dean Banion; niece and nephews, Patrick Johnson, Evan Johnson, Dylan Miller and Kacey Miller; numerous aunts and uncles; and her loving dogs, Butterball, Peanut and Digger. She was preceded in death by her father, Dwain; cousin Dylan Andrews; maternal grandparents, Dolphia and Flaura Elam; and paternal grandparents, Pat and Ruth Banion. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held two hours prior, beginning at 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
