JEWELL, Deborah Finnegan passed into the arms of our lord at Emory University Hospital on June 30, 2015 at the age of 64. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Debbie is predeceased by her father Charles Finnegan, her sister Cindy Finnegan, her maternal grandparents William and Estella Burns, her paternal grandparents, Ruth and Walter Finnegan and her yorkie Bostwick. Debbie is survived by her loving husband Al Jewell of 34 years. They were married at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio on December 20, 1980. They served in the Air Force together at Randolph AFB, Texas; Zweibrucken AB, Germany; and Scott AFB, Illinois. Since retiring from the Air Force in 1993 they have lived in Warner Robins, Georgia. Debbie is lovingly remembered and missed by her mother Wilma Finnegan and her sister Pam Finnegan of Springfield, Ohio. Her sister Kim Phillips (Scott) of Topeka, Kansas. Her sons Ed Holliday (Ann) of Mohrendorf, Germany; Andy Holliday (Debbie) of Johns Creek, Georgia; and Todd Jewell (Desiree) of Broomfield, Colorado. Her grandchildren Claire, Natalie, and Payton Holliday; Isabel, Jessica, and Christian Holliday; and Eden Jewell; borther-in-law and sister-in-law, Nick and Kathy Jewell. She will also be remembered and missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. Additionally, her yorkies Chip and Dale will miss her and continue to give love and support to Al and all her friends and family. Debbie was born in Springfield, Ohio; she graduated from Catholic Central High School, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (BA), and Fort Valley State University (MA). She worked at numerous jobs most recently as a child/family counselor. The visitation will be held at CONROY FUNERAL HOME 1660 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio on July 6, 2015 at 12:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The funeral service will be held graveside with interment at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to express appreciation to the Emory Transplant Center and ward staff, the Emory 5E ICU staff, and the Emory Hospice Center staff for their loving care and support over the last few years.
