David L. Shackelford

SHACKELFORD, David L., 65, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born March 7, 1949 in Springfield, the son of Louis and Vera (Keller) Shackelford. He had worked at R & M Moyno for a number of years doing plating and was a United States Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Margo (Minna) Shackelford; son, Matthew Shackelford; stepdaughter, Carolyn (Michael) Schumacher; one grandson, Garret; two step grandchildren, Dylan and Alexis; sister, Delores Baker; brother, Robert (Betty) Shackelford, numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Louis. Friends may call from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 Wednesday in the funeral home with his brother, Rev. Robert Shackelford officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League.
