Danny R. Kidder

Kidder, Danny R., 71, of Springfield, died July 21, 2015 in Ohio State University Hospital. He was born December 12, 1943 in Springfield, OH to Raymond and Anabel (Houtz) Kidder. Danny retired from Navistar in 1996 after 33 years of service. He attended Northside Baptist Church, was a member of the Union Club, was an avid golfer, and in his youth was member of The Optimist Little League Baseball team and pitched the first game in Springfield, OH. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Veronica (Bartley); children, Cheryl (Marty) Schlicher, JoAnne (Eric) Kidder-Frank and Dana (John) Rutter, all of Springfield; step-children, Cynthia (Floyd) Mann, South Vienna, OH and Gregory Pinson, Springfield; seven grandchildren, Luke, Billy, Aaron, Amy, Liz, Krista and Emily; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Paula) Kidder, Ashville, OH and Terry (Connie) Kidder, Englewood, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Frazier and a step-daughter, Tina Pinson. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor David Hill officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Springfield Regional Cancer Center.
