D. Jane Strahler

STRAHLER, D. Jane, 91, of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2017 in her home. Jane was born April 9, 1926 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Joseph and Pearl (Ault) Fields. She received her Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University in Home Economics and was the owner of Strahler Foods for over 50 years. She was also a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a volunteer at IHN (Interfaith Hospitality Network), was an avid gardener, and a member of the United Senior Services. Survivors include one son, Douglas (Rebecca) Strahler; two foster daughters, Zelma (Richard) Lira and Patti McDaniels; three grandchildren, Michelle (Bobby) Tittle, Eddie (Julie) Strahler and Marcie (Tim) Bobst; and eight great grandchildren, Lizzy (Terry) Wallen, Kayla Tittle, Phillip Strahler, Michael, Levi, Cayden and Jaelynn Bobst, and Kelsie McCown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C.; a son, Donald R. Strahler, and a grandson, Corbin "Corey" McCown. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Grunden, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Interfaith Hospitality Network.
