Charles J. Boerger

BOERGER, Charles J., 89, of Springfield, passed away on April 12, 2016 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. Charles was born on August 30, 1926 in Champaign County, Ohio, the son of John Herman and Myrta (Baughman) Boerger. He had been employed as an Electrical Maintenance Man for International Harvester for 25 years before retiring in 1986. He was a United States Navy veteran and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors include his son, Charles J. "Chad" & Cyndi Boerger, Jr. of Falcon, CO; one sister, Elsie Kandel of Marysville; half-brother, John Arth of Marysville; two grandchildren, Scott & Marissa Boerger and Lindsay & Scott Riley; three great-grandchildren, Camden, Cayden and Jake Boerger. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan, his second wife, Isabel Jane, sister, Lillian Taylor and a brother Luther Boerger. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Pollock officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior, starting at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
