Carolyn Kenney

Kenney, Carolyn, 86, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2016 in Oakwood Village. Carolyn was born July 14, 1930 in Portland, OR to Philip and Evelyn (Emerich) Hill. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Portland, and then attended the University of Oregon, where she met her husband, James W. Kenney. They married in June of 1950. She was a member of St. Teresa Church. She was the consummate homemaker: She loved to cook, sew and garden. She also enjoyed playing tennis and bridge, entertaining and traveling with her husband. She volunteered at the Nearly New Shop and had worked part time at the Wittenberg Credit Union. Survivors include her husband, James W. Kenney; two children, Matthew (Nicole) Kenney and Anne Kenney (Fred) Golan; and four grandchildren, Mitchell and McCrae Kenney, and Claire and Patrick Golan. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
