Carolyn A. Ryan

RYAN, Carolyn A., 91, of Kettering (formerly of Springfield), passed peacefully to the Lord in her home on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. She was born September 15, 1925 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Martin R. and Mary W. (Mullee) Welch. Carolyn worked as an office worker for National Supply and Vogue Shop for a number of years. She was a 1943 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church where she was a sacristan and choir member for many years. She is survived by six children and spouses, Michael Ryan, Centerville, Timothy (Veda) Ryan, Columbus, Pat (Jan-Otto) Bergljung, Dania, FL, William Ryan (Kathy Wenger), Phoenix, AZ, Julie (Tom) Bennett, Carmel, IN, and Maureen (Mark) McLaughlin, Oakwood, OH; 13 grandchildren, Matthew Ryan, Mark Ryan (Cheri), Michael Ryan, Daniel Ryan (Desiree), Jennifer Ryan (Steve), Andrew Ryan (Amber), Christopher Bergljung, Elizabeth Bennett, Joseph Bennett, Samuel Bennett, Margaret McLaughlin, Cathleen McLaughlin, and Caroline McLaughlin; 6 great grandchildren; one sister, Ann (Dante) Ianni; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Ryan, Sue Welch and Rosemary Ryan and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 1974, three sisters, Alice Welch, Helen Hannon, and Patricia Wilson and four brothers, Raymond, William "Billy", Thomas, and John "Jack" Welch. The Family would like to thank all the aides, coordinators and therapists from Senior Pathways for all their loving care and support. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday in St. Teresa Church. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Teresa Catholic Church, Springfield, OH or St. Jude Children's Hospital. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
