Carol J. Tooker

TOOKER, Carol J., 89, of Springfield, passed away January 9, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born April 14, 1925 in Jackson County, Ohio the daughter of Cleve and Elva (Garrett) Hamilton. Carol had worked in the nursing office at Community Hospital for 10 years. Survivors include two children and spouses, Jeannie (Ronald) Dirlam, Springfield and James (Sarah) Tooker, Oregon; three grandchildren, Christopher (Marla) Dirlam, Susan Fain and Jessica Tooker; four great grandchildren, Cody & Ryan Fain and Nathan & Elizabeth Dirlam; two sisters, Helen Spears, Florida and Doris Cochran, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Lucy McWilliams and Alice Callicoat. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" in 2008 and a brother, Hayden Hamilton. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home with Chaplain Bruce Vincent officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Community-Mercy Hospice.
