RAYNOR, Carol J., 72, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. Carol was born March 6, 1945 in Springfield, OH to Charles G. and Margaret M. (Leatherman) Valley. She retired from the Clark County Sherriff's Department as a Dispatch Supervisor, and was the first female promoted from Sherriff's Deputy to Detective in the state of Ohio. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, where she was also a member of the choir. She was also the secretary treasurer for the Fraternal Order of Police and co-owner of Will-O-Baskets. Survivors include one daughter, Stacie Jean Raynor; one step-son, David (Hollee) Raynor; one step-daughter, Laura (J.L.) Willoughby Perry; four grandchildren, Jordan Raynor, Dakota Raynor, Collin Fenner and Kirsten Raynor; three sisters, Barbara Valley, Ruthellen Lough and Peggy (Jim K.) Connolly; one brother, C. Michael Valley; sister at heart, Sue Miller; two brothers-in-law, George Sanford and Tom (Julie) Kinarney; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Greg Raynor; and three sisters, Virginia Kinarney, Nancy Sanford and Rita Valley. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
