Carol Ann Minna

Minna, Carol Ann, 80, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in Southbrook Care Center. Carol was born October 18, 1936 in Lima, Ohio to Claude Frederick and Helen Grace (Gephart) Shafer. She worked for Mental Health Services for several years, and was a member of St. Joseph Church. She is survived by three daughters, Margo Minna Shackelford, Catherine Minna and Claudine (Mark) Minna-Roberts, all of Springfield; three grandchildren, Jessica (Tom) Fulton, Carolyn (Michael) Schumacher and Antonia (Corey Aronhalt) Wiseman; five great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, William Minna of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 2006. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staffs at Southbrook Care Center and Kindred Hospice for their exceptional care. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Animal Welfare League.
