Bonnie L. Grubbs

GRUBBS, Bonnie L., 76, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born January 19, 1941 in Springfield the daughter of William and Ada (Carpenter) Mason. Bonnie worked as an Ophthalmologists Assistant at Eye Physicians of Springfield for a number of years. She was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge #51 where she enjoyed her Wednesday card club. Survivors include her two sons, Mark Simms, Virginia Beach, VA and Michael Simms, Springfield; five grandchildren, Erin (Vince) Guillen, Gary (Devon Nelson) Simms, Meagan (Erik Kurmm) Simms, Colin Simms and Lindy (Josh) Frey; five great grandchildren, Alex, Maddie, Avery, Maura and Lincoln; three stepchildren, Cindy Savage, Diana Riegle and Chuck Grubbs and numerous nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Grubbs, Jr. in 2003 and one brother, Dennis Mason. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Private Burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
