Betty M. Deane

DEANE, Betty M., 98, of Springfield, passed into eternal life Friday, December 09, 2016. She was born January 14, 1918 in Springfield the daughter of Howard and Lillian (Brammer) Jones. On March 1, 1941 she married Harold T. Deane(Diz) and they resided in South Vienna. Betty was a charter member of St. Marks United Methodist Church where she served faithfully on numerous committees and actives. She was also a member of the Pythian Sisters. Betty was an avid crafter and candy maker and enjoyed sharing her gifts and talents. She is survived by son-in-law Dan Preston, granddaughter, Christina & Jim Moore grandsons Matt & Laurie Preston, and Bill Preston as well as great grandchildren Megan Preston, Alli Moore, Ellen Moore, Olivia and Jackson Preston. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, daughter Dondra Preston and a brother, Howard Jones Jr(Ike). Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Sunday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Merrill Melott officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury Chapel Cemetery.
