Betty L. Schneider

Schneider, Betty L., 92, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE. Betty was born February 4, 1922 in Springfield, OH to Paul and Ethel (Deam) Nagel. She graduated from Springfield High. Betty was employed by the Springfield City Schools and retired after 25 years. She was also a member of St. Bernard Church. Survivors include her four children, Rev. Terrance Schneider, Beavercreek, OH, Tana Baughn, Marlton, NJ, Deborah (Denny) Brown, Springfield, and Kurt Schneider (Carol Martin), Durango, CO; nine grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Evans, Kathleen (Charles) Boyles, Matthew Baughn, Jennifer (Chris) Arnold, Rachel (Mike) Fissel, Jenny (Anthony) Caporaso, Tony (Christina) Brown, Laurel (Chas) Mikolon and Silas Hatch; 18 great grandchildren, Zachary and Noah Payton, Jonah, Nicholas and Annaleah Arnold, Christian Jacuk, Isabella, Sophia and Lucas Fissel, Mackenzie, Mason and Hunter Boyles, Dylan and Tyler Evans, Bear and Annie Brown, Madelyn Baughn and Waylan Mikolon; four nieces and nephews, Paul Douglas (Wanda) Snyder, Michael Dorn (Joyce) Snyder, Richard Snyder and Lynda Snyder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer, in 1992; her parents; sister, Virginia Snyder; brother, William Nagel; and brother-in-law, Paul "Pickle" Snyder. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Bernard Church. Visitation will begin one and a half hours prior in the Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
