Betty Catherine Swope

SWOPE, Betty Catherine "KT", age 79, of Springfield Ohio, passed away at 6:05 AM Sunday, August 23, 2020. She declared her faith in Jesus before her passing and now rests safely in her Savior's arms. Betty was born Nov 30, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter Pinkerman and Beatrice Hatfield, husband of 36 years Ronald Swope SR., sister Joyce and brother Charles, son-in-law Christopher Burns and daughter-in-law Heidi Waugh. She is survived by her children: Ricky Dennin (Julie), their children (Kathryne, Destiny, Serenity, Conner, and Rikki Lynn); daughter Kathy Burns Clevenger (Jeff) and children, Autumn Kelley (Patrick) and their children (Lilly, Bella, Levi and Jameson), Dr. Christopher Burns DDS., Kyle Burns (Kaitlyn); daughter Rhonda Blair (Rick), children Clinton Michael (Tonya), Mariah (Jimmy) and their children (Maelyn and Jazleen), Jaret Blair and Cameron Blair; son Ronald Swope Jr. - ROLO (Heidi Waugh) and their children (Sierra, Sydney and Skylar); and daughter Heidi Swope. Betty was known for her love of Angels, Betty Boop and birds especially her beloved bird Topper and her little poodle PEPEE. She adored her Cherokee heritage. Betty was one of the neighborhood moms and always asked if everyone was ok. She was an avid lover of all the Holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our childhood house on Linden Ave. was always decorated inside and out to the T. She had SANTA (RON) and the boys out on the roof every year putting up decorations… She made the Holidays special and my sister and I continue that holiday cheer even today with our own children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her! Rest in peace MaMa!!! Arrangements were made through Conroy Funeral Home and Betty was laid to rest in St. Bernard's Cemetery. A Private family service will be held at a later date to be officiated by Pastor Jeff Clevenger.
