Barbara S. Valley

Valley, Barbara S., 80, of Springfield, passed away on September 21, 2017 in Forest Glen Health Campus. She was born on September 9, 1937 in Greene Township, Ohio to Charles G. and Margaret M. (Leatherman) Valley. Barb graduated from City Hospital in 1959, obtained her BSN from The Ohio State University and earned her Master's Degree in Education from the University of Dayton. She had been employed as a Nurse and Nursing Professor for OSU and Clark State for 28 years. Survivors include three siblings, Ruthellen Lough, Peggy (Jim) Connolly and Mike Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Virginia Kinarney, Nancy Sanford, Rita Valley and Carol Raynor. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Sunday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Kramer officiating. Inurnment will be held in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
