Barbara M. Ford

FORD, Barbara M., 80, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 in Dayspring surrounded by her family. She was born November 1, 1932 in Springfield the daughter of Stanley J. and Emma E. (Allison) Latimer. She attended First Baptist Church. Barbara was a graduate of Springfield High School, a member of Women of the Moose, Union Club, F.O.E. #397, Elks #51, VFW #1031 Ladies Auxiliary and National Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees, Inc. (NARVRE). She loved taking pictures of her family. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Fred & Rhonda Ford, Jr.; three grandchildren, Andrea (Charles) Schulze, Jenniffer (Michael) Merritts and Paul (Vanessa) Cook; five great grandchildren, Landon Merritts, Jocelyn, Alexis, Julie and Katie Cook; siblings, Bruce Latimer, Carole Dimitroff and Pamela & Steve Fields; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Raymond Klug. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred, Sr. in 2004 and a granddaughter, Jillian Ford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Dr. Paul Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be held one-hour prior beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice.
