Barbara J. McFarland

McFARLAND, Barbara J., 85, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in Essex of Springfield. She was born July 2, 1930 in Springfield, OH the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Slentz) Phillips. Barb owned and operated with her husband, McFarland Brothers Meats. Survivors include her three sons and spouses, Larry & Sissy McFarland, Gary McFarland and Randy & Mary Beth McFarland; four grandsons, Charles ( Lisa), Michael, Kyle (Angie) and Casey (Carrie) McFarland; seven great grandchildren, Andrew, Annalisa, Matthew, Katelyn , Aaron, Kenzie and Violet; and three sisters in law, including Norma J. McFarland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. "Bill" in 1999 and brothers, Robert and Richard Phillips. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Grand Court and Essex of Springfield for their excellent care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Charlene Hubbard officiating. Visitation will be held one-hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the CCHS Foundation.
