Austin Eugene Richardson

Richardson, Austin Eugene, 96, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017. He was born in Springfield on September 13, 1920 the son of Orval and Marie (Holcomb) Richardson. He retired from Cooper Energy in 1976 after 35 years of service. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1031, a lifelong member of the Y.M.C.A., an avid racquetball player and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his grandson, Michael Richardson and two dear friends, Fran Clark and Millie Richardson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Garnet and his son, Michael Wayne Richardson. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Rose Hill Burial Park with Pastor Richard Johnson officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements handled by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
