Robey, Aurora (Cappelli) (DePuy), Aurora Robey was known as "Raura" to her family, passed away after a year of medical complications. She was born Aurora Laura Cappelli on December 26, 1921 in Springfield, OH. She was the last surviving child of Matteo Cappelli and Marianna Spinelli. Aurora was loved by her family and friends alike, for having a generous heart and genuine personality. She worked in the family owned businesses Cappelli Greenhouses, and Holiday Flowers. She and the "Cappelli clan" were featured in the Newsweek "American Dream" issue in 1983. Aurora was preceded in death by her parents Matteo and Marianna Cappelli, her sister Doris (Cappelli) Lehmkuhl, her brothers Dominick, Nicholas, and Louis, her first husband Clyde A. DePuy Sr., her second husband Harold Don Robey, and her son Clyde A. Depuy Jr.She is survived by: her Grandsons, Curtis (Sandy) DePuy of Portsmouth, OH; Paul (Yadira) DePuy of Springfield; her Great Granddaughter Aurora DePuy of Portsmouth, OH; her daughter in law Paula DePuy; a special nephew Stephen Lehmkuhl; and many nieces and nephews. After graduating from Springfield High School in 1940 she worked for the family greenhouse. She was married in February 1942 her high school sweetheart Clyde A. DePuy Sr., who was a Pilot Officer with the Royal Canadian Air Force. She moved to ST. Thomas, Ontario, Canada and gave birth in 1943 to her only child Clyde A. DePuy Jr. When her husband was posted to Great Britain in the summer of 1943, she returned to Springfield with her son. After her husband was killed in 1945, she focused on raising her son. She married in 1958 to "Don" Robey, who passed away in 1980. Aurora was raised with strong family beliefs, and was adamant in the strength of family ties until her passing. While her sister was living, they spoke every day. Aurora and her son had a special bond and they visited almost daily until Clyde's death in 2012. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a 60 year member of the Tucana Card Club. She will be buried with her parents, brothers, sister and son in the family plot. This is fitting since her favorite observation about family was "remember...it's US in a world of THEM". Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
