Antoinette (Astorino) Stretcher Wenrick

Wenrick, Antoinette (Astorino) Stretcher, 96, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Oakwood Village. She was born in Urbana, OH on January 21, 1919 to immigrant parents from southern Italy, Tommaso and Giuseppina (Chiodo) Astorino. She was a member of St. Mary Church, Urbana and a former member of St. Teresa Church. She retired from the Ohio Thermometer Company after 32 years and from Ray Nellessen State Farm Insurance after 10 years. Antoinette was the last member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Carl and Robert; her first husband, William C. Stretcher in 1978; and her second husband, Charles G. Wenrick in 1998. She is survived by a sister-in-law, F. Juanita Astorino; four nieces, Elizabeth (David) Crouse, Sandra (Donald) Coakley, Sharon (William) Waddle and Tomasina (Ken) Jones; one nephew, Carl Paul (Hila) Asterino; many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and one great-great-great niece; and special cousin, Mary Ellen (David) Johnson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Urbana. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Antoinette's memory to St. Mary Church, 231 Washington Ave., Urbana, OH 43078.
