ACCOCELLA, Anthony "Tony", Jr., 71, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 31, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, NY the son of Anthony and Anne (Daddesio) Accocella, Sr. Tony worked as an industrial salesman all his life for numerous companies retiring in 2016. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus #624. Tony served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as a tank specialist in Germany. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and perpetual kidder. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jo (Puzio) Accocella; two children, Michael & Mary Ellen (Donahue) Accocella, Tega Cay, SC and Christina Accocella, Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Luke and Anthony; two siblings, Barbara & Robert Marciano and Steven & Linda Accocella, all of New York; one niece, Brittany; one nephew, Zachary and a sister-in-law, Rose Puzio. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Anthony Puzio. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday in St. Teresa Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the St. Teresa Catholic Church.
