McGree, Ann Elizabeth (McGraw), 85, answered the call to go back home on January 30, 2014. Ann was born on the lucky 13th of November 1928 in Columbus, the daughter of James and Agnes (Graney) McGraw. Ann was a lifelong, very proud member of St. Teresa parish. Always a devoted employee, she always spoke highly of her time spent working in Cincinnati as an administrative assistant for a record label where she got to meet the likes of Hank Williams, Sr. In 1981, she found her home and the course of her life and Wittenberg University was forever changed. She had a passion for anything and everyone related to the Tiger family. From her time in the Education Department, Ann set out to ensure that anyone on campus knew they were home. With an incredible knack for remembering names and faces to include parents, hometowns, passions and majors she could keep up with the fastest computers today. For 32 years she made a concerted effort to attend every sporting event, play or party she was invited to. She had an unquestionable love for Wittenberg and everyone affiliated with the institution always made sure it was reciprocated. Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Bill McGree; daughter Mary Beth (David) Ratliff; grandchildren, Zach Carver, Joshua Ratliff and Rebecca Ratliff; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Kaelyn; brother, James (Martina) McGraw; brother-in-law, James McCarty and several very special nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Teresa Church. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Wittenberg University Scholarships, Office of Advancement, P.O. Box 720, Springfield, Ohio 45501. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the staff of Dayspring in Fairborn. Their love and compassion goes above and beyond and will never be forgotten.
