Dunn, Angela M., 95 of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Oakwood Village. She was born in Springfield on August 17, 1929 to Joseph and Margaret (Groeber) Heeger. She worked for Ohio Edison for 35 years before retiring in 1995. Some of the most enjoyable times for her and fondest memories for her family are of annual company outings which included traveling to Cincinnati for Reds games. She loved sports, watching her kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews play local sports of all kinds, but she especially loved the Reds. A love which all her children share. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Altar Rosary Sodality, and for many years a member of the St. Raphael choir. It was her time in the choir that truly made her feel closer to God and gave her great joy in her life. She dearly loved to sing in praise of Jesus. Angela was a beloved mother to her eight children, Catherine Shingler, Barbara (Greg) Edison, Colleen Cherry, Ann Dunn, Charles Dunn, Joseph Dunn, Theresa (Jerry) Fuqua and James Dunn. Her greatest joy in life was sharing time with her family celebrating birthdays, holidays, and any opportunity to bring family together. Angela especially loved Easter and celebrating holy week with her family by her side. She was an exceptionally faithful and prayerful women and that example was evident to all that knew her. She was full of love and pride for all her family and devoted her life to being a wonderful mother. Angie, as she was known, truly believed in giving to those in need. Her entire life was an example of this. Even when all she could give was her time, she was happy to do just that. Survivors include seven of her children; sister, Caroline Lalley; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine Shingler; brother, Paul Heeger; and sister, Mary Margaret Casey. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23 at St. Raphael Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to mass, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
