Alice L. Welch

WELCH, Alice L., 96, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, March 09, 2014 in Clark Memorial Home. She was born July 21, 1917 in Springfield the daughter of Martin R. and Mary W. (Mullee) Welch. Alice worked as a secretary at International Harvester for over 32 years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include two sisters, Carolyn Ryan and Ann & Dante Ianni; sister-in-law, Sue Welch; several nieces and nephews, including Sue King, Tony, Bill and Tom Hannon, Kathy Walsh, Carolyn Kellermeyer, Colleen Wilson, Michael, Bill and Tim Ryan, Mary Patricia Bergljang, Julie Bennett, Maureen McLaughlin, John Ianni, Helen and Patrick Welch, Thomas, Bill, John and Susie Welch, Kathleen Perisa. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Hannon and Pat Wilson, four brothers, William, Raymond, John and Thomas Welch and a niece, Bridget Wagner. The family would like to thank Clark Memorial Home, their director, Donna McAdams, all the staff and residents for their loving care, support and friendship over the years. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Clark Memorial Home.
