Asebrook, Jr., Albert E. "Bud", 80, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. He was born January 3, 1936 to Albert and Marie E. (Frisz) Asebrook in Springfield, Ohio. Bud graduated from Catholic Central High School class of 1954, attended The Ohio State University and served in the Air National Guard for 8 years. Bud was a Realtor/Broker for 50 years, served as President of the Board of Realtors for 3 years and was a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser for 40 years. He was active in the Springfield Jaycees where he was instrumental in establishing the Shooter Education program. He served on the Boards of the American Red Cross, the Clark County Park District, and The Polo Club of Springfield, including terms as President. He and his sons were partners in ownership of the Elite Cafe for six years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosemary (Valentie) Asebrook; daughter Laureen Michele Asebrook; sons and spouses, Albert E. III and Susan (Detrich) Asebrook and Eric Louis and Lori (Lichtinger) Asebrook; grandchildren Madeline Elizabeth, Andrew Louis, Samuel Guinness and Jackson Porter Asebrook; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne Marie (Rice E.) Bradford; brother-in-law Louis Valentie; sisters-in-law Jo (Valentie) Ray and Donna (Valentie) Glassey; and many special nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in St. Teresa Church with Fr. Dennis Caylor officiating. The family will receive friends in the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the wonderful nurses of Community Mercy Hospice, who were devoted in their care for Bud.
