Mary Jane introduced herself to me many years ago when the choir was on summer break. After the mass, she said "You have a beautiful voice! I hope you are in the choir because you should be." I told her I had been recruited to sing in the choir to which she responded "Great but until you are needed up there again, promise me you will sit behind me so I can hear your great singing." I promised her I would and I did for a very long time. I therefore got to know her and found her to be a lovely lady, most sincere, common and genuine! I am going to miss here infectious smile and pleasant conversations. She never hesitated to give me a health report on her husband whom she loved immensely and I am sure she has had dire grief because of and since his recent passing. Mary Jane had many health issues during the past few years. I shall give her much credit for persevering no matter what. She loved her church and was there most of the time. It has not been that long ago that Mary Jane was distributing communion. To say she was a devout Catholic Christian would be rather shallow as there was no doubt about her faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Rest In Peace, Mary Jane, knowing that I and many others will truly miss you and that you lived your life very well! Until we meet you again, should we be lucky enough to follow in your foot steps and enter heaven's gate, please enjoy uniting with your husband, daughters and your many other family, friends and acquaintances whom you have enriched in earthly life and will continue to inspire in your new life! To Mary Jane's family, my deepest sympathy to you. To lose a father and mother in such short time must be extremely difficult to endure. Please remember your dad and your mom as wonderful companions who loved you and were loved by nearly everyone who knew them because they were first class individuals for sure!
