Margo was a sweet person. I wish her family peace and love. I pray they have the knowledge that even though this hurts they will be joyfully together again. ( Oh Lord not another Springfield on the other side!) It was getting too serious. Margo we will see you sweetie!

A 1971 Catholic Central classmate gone too soon. My deepest sympathy to Margo's family.

- Margaret Schief , Monday July 27th, 2020

The first time I saw Margo in the halls of Catholic Central, I remember thinking to myself how beautiful she was. I mean, she was absolutely stunning! I shrugged my shoulders and thought, that gorgeous sophomore would never give this scrawny freshman the time of day. Then, months later, I went with my friend Ray Shouvlin over to his new girlfriend's house. I met the family - Cathy, Dick, Took and Claude. I thought, these people are great. They were funny and easy to be with. As we were talking, I turned to see someone coming down the stairs and thought, Oh, someone else to meet. As she came into full view, I totally freaked...Holy Crap!!! It’s the beautiful girl I always see at school! I choked. What do I say? “Hi, my name is Dan, I always stare at you at school.” No... she’d probably think, “do I need a restraining order?” Then I heard that incredibly, sweet voice of hers say hello, and I was captivated. From that moment on I was walking on clouds. So, that’s how I started my life long friendship with Margo. She was always so friendly, so open and kind. (But... then there was that wicked sense of humor the Minna’s all have.) Here's to all the great memories we share with the Minna clan.

When I heard about this tonight after the initial shock, I began thinking about all of the good times. Although I have not been around for the last 19 years, I have not quit caring and Margo will be greatly missed by many. My heart goes out to all of the family and friends left behind. You are all in my thoughts.

My friendship with Margo is one of my best life time memories. We partied together, we went to concerts together and we vacationed. Her and her sisters, as well as her parents, were like family to me. We lost a really, really good person and she and her stunning smile will be missed but never forgotten.
