My condolences to Johns family. He was a gentle man who was always willing to help in a quiet and unassuming manner. He helped start St Raphaels choir as one of the first 4 voices and became our first cantor. RIP John, Christs good and faithful servant.

I send my prayers to John’s family for peace and consolation. What a dedicated man to St. Raphael’s! He was always present, always serving. I’m sure John was greeted immediately in Heaven by the Lord. Well done, good and faithful servant. Eternal rest to him.

- Pat Newell geron, Saturday February 23rd, 2019

To the family and friends of John, my sincere sympathy. I am sure that the dear Lord met John at the pearly gates and greeted him, “Welcome home John! Choirs of angels have been waiting to greet you. Well done good and faithful servant! Well Done!” I knew and worked in St. Raphael sacristy with John and David McDargh in the 50s. Two more Christian men I have never known. The Easter I recall with great joy is the one that Dave and John did the floral design. We worked day and night cutting floral foam to press into the crevasses of the spiraling marble over the altar and then place thousands of individual flowers in picks and mount them into the foam. What a magnificent sight that was for that Easter! I will never think of John or David without remembering that Easter. RIP
