It's with sadness and a very heavy heart that I reflect on my life's memories with Brett beginning at 5 years old and they were all good times! He was fun, funny, a great basketball player, and had a beautiful smile. What really stands out is that he was always kind. I know his family must be really hurting, and I'm so sorry for your loss. You are all in my prayers

Brett was always a very enthusiastic young man and he had a tremendous heart with a genuine love for people. I always told him his red hair and freckles naturally made him a bit naturally ornery. He cared about his children and both loved and respected his father. I last spoke with him earlier this year when he attended a wake at St. Joseph's Parish Center. He shared with me that he knew he had made some mistakes in his life but recognized that he had a great opportunity to learn from them and progress through a positive future. He mentioned with much pride his role as a father and grandfather. Additionally, he expressed satisfaction in his vocation as an electrician and stated he still could play basketball pretty well. I trust Brett's family and friends will remember as most inspiring, his genuineness and friendly personality in his overall quest for life. Rest in peace, Brett; indeed, you shall be most missed!
