Is this the Jim Silvers who was the Past Commander of VFW Post 3660 in Springfield? My Mom, Norma Thompson, was a Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Post. She knew Jim well and thought the world of him. He probably has already bumped into her in Heaven. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry to hear you lost your loved one. I wanted to share a scriptural thought in this time of loss, Revelation 21:4 says "and God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." So all the things that make us cry and cause us pain especially death will soon be gone forever. I hope you can gain comfort from this Bible passage.
