Mike was a fine individual; never flashy but forever steady. When something needed to be done, Mike was always available to answer the cause. His dedication in officiating sports was very important to him and to that end, he took his responsibilities very seriously. Mike and I were friends for many years and our relationship was fostered mostly out of mutual respect. We always had our fun but each of us made significant contributions to the causes we adopted. While Mike will be hard to replace, I am grateful to have known him and know his quiet yet necessary influence in both life and athletics will continue to have a lasting impact! Rest in peace, Mike and many, many thanks for all you have done for so many!

Mike is a lifelong neighborhood friend I will miss. A good sports buddy that always had time to ask me "how it was going", even while "working behind home plate". Great times when he coached my son Barry. Rest in peace buddy.
