Just a little over a month ago you were on the phone consoling me over the loss of our daughter Alison. You told me we needed another Cinco de Mayo/Birthday party with the promise that you would make sure I swallowed the worm this time. I am so sad that this will not happen, the party that is not the worm. Please hug Karen and Alison for us, try not to look down on us and laugh too much. You were truly this best of the best; it was an honor and a privilege for you to call me friend. Keri Ann, Teresa and Tom I know all too well how your hearts are aching; love and condolences to all of you. You will be missed John RIP

I was introduced to John through my Godson Jay. From the moment I met him I knew I had met a shining person. A man who could make you laugh and tell you like it is. A man who was an incredible friend able to give the shoulder you needed. A man you could be proud to have as a friend and business partner. I know his loss will be felt by many as he left a part of himself with all he met. My condolences to his family and countless friends. Farewell John, you were one of the good ones.

Keri Ann, Teresa, & Tom I was surprised to hear about John's sudden passing. I was so looking forward to seeing him Saturday In Milwaukee where we were going to meet to visit our friend Erich. Unfortunately I am unable to alter those plans to attend his services. Erich and I will carry on without John. Little did I know when I first met John on the first day of school in 1960 that we would become lifelong friends. It did take a little while to warm up to each other but I daresay for the last 45 years no one has had a better friendship. As young men we vacationed to California, moved to California, and married in California. We spent countless hours playing euchre, throwing darts, and telling outrageous stories, some of which were true. We would recall life experiences we shared including calling in sick to our employers after already being in Calfornia on vacation for 2 weeks so we could spend a 3rd week, driving back thru Utah in the mountains at 2 am in a snowstorm under a full moon where in one mountain pass Interstate 70 turned into a 2 lane road, living with others in a house in Los Angeles, sharing a "mansion": in Long Beach, attending Freddy"s outrageous all day 4th of July pig roast parties on the beach in Long Beach, throwing darts & consuming adult beverages at Bilbo Bagins in Costa Mesa with Bill Craig and others, camping in the High Sierras at Kennedy Meadows, getting married and being in each others wedding, John was my best man in marriage and in life. As you can tell I could go on and on, a day with John was never a bad day and I will miss him dearly. John's love for Karen & Keri never wavered and for his ability to function thru Karen's illness he earned my greatest respect. The world has lost one of it's truly great people and I do not believe that anyone who new John could make a negative comment about him. Rest in peace my friend, MYRTLE !!!!
