HAGUE, JoAnn, 73, of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 in Trinity Community at Beavercreek, two months after her diagnosis with metastatic pancreatic cancer. JoAnn was born November 11, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Steve and Marian (Burghardt) Ribarsky. JoAnn had a wide and varied career that reflected her expansive interests and talents. She was a writer at the Dayton Daily News and the author of a novel, Dancing Through Fire. In addition, JoAnn was an English professor at Cedarville University and Sinclair Community College. Over her career, she also held positions at the American Heart Association, International Trucking, and Air Force Knowledge Now. She was a highly involved member of Kirkmont Presbyterian Church for decades. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, John W. Hague; two children, Charles Hague and Elizabeth (Michael) Kramer; two grandchildren, Cora and Tessa; and several nieces and nephews. JoAnn will be deeply missed for her kindness, intelligence, and ebullient spirit. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12th at 2:30pm in Kirkmont Presbyterian Church with Pastor BJ Newman officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in JoAnn’s memory to the American Heart Association or to the Glen Helen Nature Preserve of Yellow Springs. Arrangements handled by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
