KING, Julia L., 98, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Springfield. Julia was born April 23, 1920 in Springfield, Ohio to Charles and Hattie (Stewart) Kitchen. She was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Harold “Skip” (Barb) King; daughter/niece, Cindy (Greg) Swords; twin sister, Helen Pollock; two grandchildren, Julia (Brian) Taylor and Cary Swords; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in 1996; two grandchildren, Trent and Tyler Swords; three brothers, Forest, Jack and Jim Kitchen; and a sister, Midge Reames. A private chapel service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Ferncliff Cemetery with Pastor Merrill Mellott officiating.
