Jeannine Pearson, 58, of Huber Heights, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Dayspring of Fairborn after enduring years of failing health courageously and without complaint. Jeannine was born on June 17, 1959 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Billy Roger and Donna Belle (Jenkins) Turner. She grew up in Enon, Ohio, and also lived in Springfield, Christiansburg, and Huber Heights, Ohio, making many friends wherever she went.
Those who survive to honor Jeannine’s memory include her mother and stepfather, Donna and Tom Beal; two sons, Christopher S. Pearson, Jr. (Kristin), and Anthony W. Pearson (Kathy); eight grandchildren, Sophia Pearson, Emily Murray, Dallas Anderson, Brooklyn Skeens, Olivia Blankenship, Makenna Ashmore, Trenton Blankenship, and Coal Blankenship; siblings Mark Turner (Patti) and Deanetta Sommers (Dan); Michelle, Elizabeth (Levi), and Alexander Turner; her Pearson-family sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; "Aunt Debbie" and “Uncle Sammy” Combs, and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom loved Jeannine dearly and all of whom she loved with all of her wonderful heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Pearson, Sr.; her father, Roger Turner; and her grandparents, Sam and Goldie Jenkins.
Smart, well read, and an A student who loved learning, Jeannine graduated from Greenon High School and the Clark County Joint Vocational School in dental assisting in 1977. Throughout her youth, Jeannine excelled at softball. As an adult, Jeannine loved to read, garden, and help her family and friends, which she did tirelessly with no thought of herself.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt, Jeannine supported her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews in every way she could including joining them wholeheartedly in their passions from cars to fishing, truck pulls, Beanie Babies, books, and baby dolls. She loved music and football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, and her excellent sense of humor brought smiles to everyone around her. An animal lover all her life, Jeannine cared for all creatures great and small, from ponies to puppies, birds, and cats. Dogs Sadie and Dozer will be among those who will dearly miss Jeannine. Her incredibly perfect Christmas cookies and treats were a highlight of the season for everyone she knew.
Always a hard worker, Jeannine did well in every job she held and found her calling in serving the sick and frail with compassion, respect, and great care. When Jeannine’s health would no longer allow her to work, she focused on the bright side of being able to spend more time with the family she loved so much. Throughout her life, she gave her all, literally and figuratively, to those she loved. Just as Jeannine brightened our world in life, her memory will forever warm our hearts. We will love and miss her always.
