Traditional Funeral Services

This is the most common choice of funeral. A visitation is held for family and friends with the body present the day prior or on the same day as the funeral. A funeral service then takes place in the funeral home or church. A committal service usually follows the funeral service at the final resting place, cemetery, mausoleum or other.

Caskets can cost anywhere from several hundred dollars to several thousands of dollars depending on the material the casket is made of. A variety of types of wood, metal, copper or bronze caskets are available.

Most cemeteries will require a burial vault which are constructed of concrete or metal and are designed to hold the weight of the earth, maintaining the cemetery property. A sealed vault may also be used. These vaults are also constructed of concrete or metal and are designed to not only protect the gravesite, but seal and/or are manufactured with inner liners that not only restrict the entrance of nature's elements (water and earth) but increase the strength of the vault.

Some families may opt for a simpler ceremony at the graveside. With a graveside service, a ceremony takes place at the site of the burial of the casket or urn followed by the burial.

Any of our services options can be held privately at the convenience of the family. It is up to the family to invite whomever they wish to the services.
